What you're basically paying for..

A lot of practice, a good eye for shape and balance, and the slightly delusional ambition of trying to turn a spaniel into an AI poodle while it flinches at every second snip.

What we actually do

When your dog comes in for a full stylised groom, we begin by giving them a chance to settle in. If it's their first visit with us, arriving around 10 minutes early can help allow a little extra settling time before we begin.

Once your dog is ready, we bathe the coat in warm water using products chosen to suit their skin and coat needs. We use a range of quality shampoos and conditioners, including Smith & Burton, sensitive options, deodorising shampoos, conditioning treatments, de-shedding products, and flea shampoo where needed. If your dog uses a medicated shampoo, you're welcome to bring it in and let us know on arrival.

After bathing, we dry the coat using the method that best suits the dog in front of us. Some coats benefit from a high-velocity dryer to help remove water, loose coat, dirt, and dander more thoroughly, while other dogs do better with a lower-velocity dryer for a calmer, less stimulating experience.

Once the coat is clean, dry, and properly prepared, we begin the groom itself. We work through the body, face, feet, hygiene areas, and nails, shaping the groom to suit the dog, the coat, and the style you want to maintain.

This is the service we use for breed-specific grooms, signature pet trims, polished finishes, creative freestyle ideas, and custom looks inspired by reference photos. From traditional cuts to show-style influence, or even that impossibly cute AI-inspired puppy look you found online, this is where we turn the idea into a real-life groom that still suits your dog's coat, comfort, and character.

Before pick-up, we make sure the groom feels complete, balanced, and comfortable, and that your dog is ready to go home looking fresh, styled, and beautifully finished.

Stylised grooming is where skill, preparation, and attention to detail make the biggest difference. These grooms take practice, study, and a trained eye. Every coat behaves differently, and every shape has to be adapted to suit the individual dog in front of us.

This is also the service that creates our signature look. We take real pride in the finish of our stylised grooms and do our best every time to have each dog leaving the salon looking polished, balanced, and beautifully put together.

When the coat is maintained regularly, we can usually achieve a cleaner finish and keep more styling options open. Regular grooming helps protect coat condition, improve comfort, and keep your dog looking the way you love them to look.

You can customise this service with optional extras such as teeth brushing, fragrance, ear cleaning, conditioning treatments, fur masks, paw balm, and anal gland checks where appropriate.

Full stylised grooms are a great fit for Poodles, Bichons, Schnauzers, Spaniels, Doodle mixes, and any breed or mix where the finish, shape, and detail of the groom really matters.

Good to know

The more regularly your dog is groomed, the more we can do with the coat. Longer gaps between appointments can limit styling options and may affect the finish we're able to achieve.
