What Grooming Looks Like Here

Every dog is different, so we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. We assess the dog in front of us, work with what they can handle, and groom in a way that is safe, realistic, and thoughtful.

We Start By Reading The Dog

We look at coat condition, body language, behaviour, and what the dog is likely to cope with that day before we begin.

We Work at the Dog’s Pace

If a dog is nervous, tired, elderly, or overwhelmed, we slow down, break things up, or keep the groom simpler rather than forcing too much.

Comfort Comes Before Perfection

If a dog cannot comfortably tolerate a full styled groom, we prioritise what is safe, realistic, and manageable for that dog on the day.

We'd rather be upfront, work with the dog in front of us, and create a groom that is safe, achievable, and fair for everyone involved.

We encourage clients to tell us about any concerns, changes, sensitivities, health issues, behaviour notes, or past grooming experiences before the appointment.

If a coat is matted, the dog is anxious, or the groom may need to be adjusted, we explain that clearly so there are no surprises.

All prices listed are starting prices. Final cost can vary depending on size, breed, coat condition, behaviour, matting, and time required.
If a coat is matted, we will assess what is safe and realistic before going ahead. Additional charges may apply, and in some cases the groom may need to be adjusted for the dog's comfort and welfare.
Yes. We adjust our approach based on what the dog can comfortably cope with on the day, and we may recommend a simpler or slower-paced groom where needed.
In most cases, dogs settle better without their owner present, so we generally work one-on-one with the dog to help keep the environment calm and focused.
How long will the groom take? Timing varies depending on the service, coat type, size, behaviour, and the amount of work needed. As a rough guide, please be prepared to collect your dog within 1 to 2 hours, unless we have told you otherwise. If the groom is taking longer than expected, we will let you know. If we say we will text, we will text. Please do not arrive early. Early arrival can disrupt the grooming process, make the groom take longer, and cause your dog to become excited or anxious. Because we are working with sharp tools, this can make it difficult to safely finish the groom. In some cases, we may need to stop or leave the groom unfinished, and the full groom charge will still apply.

Yes. We offer intro grooms for puppies, anxious dogs, and first-time visits to help create a gentler, more manageable grooming experience.
